Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing customer orders, quotations and credits/returns.  AMD Supply is a customer service driven business that provides the highest level of service to every customer.  The CSR has the responsibility to provide solutions to each customer that best fit their needs.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Receive customer orders via phone, fax, email and walk-in and enter orders into ERP system for processing
  2. Determine best pricing for each customer order on an item by item basis
  3. Develop strong working relationships with all customers to help them with their material requirements
  4. Ability to problem solve in order to find the best solution to meet customer material requirements. 
  5. Coordinate sales efforts of outside sales representatives and follow-up with customer visits and quotations 
  6. Additional Duties And Responsibilities:
    1. Other duties as assigned by Customer Service Manager. 
    2. Takes on additional responsibility during times, as needed. 

Qualifications: 

Minimum

  1. Education & Experience:  Associates degree and/or three to five years of relevant experience
  2. Skills: 
    1. Ability to provide clear and polite service to each customer.
    2. Fluency in English and Spanish.
    3. Strong ability to multi-task.
    4. Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
    5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    6. Good organizational skills.
    7. Strong math skills.
    8. Able to handle multiple high priority issues at the same time.
    9. Able to work constructively under stress and pressure.
    10. Possesses excellent computer skills.
    11. Able to organize, plan, and prioritize work.
    12. Communicates effectively; listens attentively when others are speaking.
    13. Able to interact well with others and build effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.

Preferred:

  1. Related experience in the aluminum industry.
  2. Familiarity with Netsuite ERP.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience

Recommendations: College degree preferred• Minimum of 2-3 years of sales/customer service experience
Working Conditions: Office environment.• Fast paced environment
